I am Lorie Bromley and I teach fourth grade at Newfields Elementary School in Newfields, NH (about 5 minutes from Exeter). For the past two years, I have been a technology mentor working specifically with the primary grades in our small school. This role has allowed me to see technology through many different eyes and I have a much greater appreciation for those individuals who are working to change the way technology is used in education. We have come so far, but still have a long way to go!
I received my undergraduated degree at Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, MA and my masters in elementary education at the University of New England. My husband and I live in Durham, NH with our two young children. I love being outdoors and recently have spent a lot of time at playgrounds.
I am a teacher because I love kids and the learning process. This opportunity is exciting to me because I will grow as I work with all of you. I am always concerned about missing good opportunities to further my growth, so I am excited about this next year as it promises to challenge my thinking and make me a more effective teacher. Classroom teaching and learning is taking on a new face and I feel so fortunate to be a part of this professional development. I can't wait to meet you all!
